Safer Sleeping for babies - reducing the risk of SIDS
At least 300 babies die unexpectedly every year in the UK. Cot death, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is the sudden, unexpected and unexplained death of an apparently healthy infant.
Being able to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is essential for everyone involved in a baby’s care.
This e-learning course has been developed to support key safe baby sleeping messages, with an aim to raise the awareness of SIDS, so parents, family members and anyone who comes into contact with families or infants can confidently reduce the risk to the baby in their care.
On completion, learners will have an increased understanding of what can be done to keep sleeping babies as safe as possible.
