Prevent Duty Guidance
The Prevent Duty was published on 7th September 2023 and although the updated guidance places no new legal requirements or additional responsibilities on education settings, there are changes that the education sector should be aware of.
The updated guidance won’t come into effect until 31st December 2023 at the earliest.

Prevent videos
These new short animations can be embedded in training, communications and any other scenario where you need to quickly explain the purpose of Prevent to an audience. One is designed for anyone with a Prevent duty, the other is specific to education settings.

Risk Assessment Templates
New templates for each phase of education to help those without risk assessments track how well they manage and mitigate risk in their setting are available. Use of the template isn’t mandatory.
