Target Audience:- Designated Safeguarding Leads

Prerequisite training:- Delegates must have completed the 2 Day DSL training

Time:- 09:00 till 16:00

Thursday 1st May 2025

Aims:-

• To be updated on local and national practices and procedures
• To recap tasks relating to the DSL role
• To consider the assessment process and referrals through case studies
• To have an awareness of current safeguarding concerns and how to address them
• To review 'safe working practice' within their current setting and management of allegations
• To have an understanding of the lessons learnt from Safeguarding Practice Reviews

Declaration

1. I confirm that I have read the attendance criteria and learning outcomes for this course and I believe that I will significantly benefit from this learning.
2. I will take all necessary steps to ensure that the learning outcomes are reinforced in the workplace.
3. I agree to complete the post course feedback survey which will be sent out within 48 hours of the end of the training sessions and will also complete the follow up survey six weeks later.  I am aware that failure to complete either of these feedbacks will result in notification to my manager and I will not receive my Certificate of Attendance.
4. I understand that places will be allocated by Thurrock Local Safeguarding Children Partnership.
