Webinar to raise awareness of vulnerability in relation to Prevent

This webinar will provide practitioners with an opportunity to be briefed on the current threat - nationally and locally, hear case studies including the local perspective on mental health and provide an opportunity to ask questions of a range of experts.

There will be a key note speech from Dr Saima Masud on Mental Health and Prevent: Concerns and Considerations for Practitioners, as well as presentations from Malcolm Taylor on Safeguarding Children with Neurodiverse Conditions and Maria Payne on Suicide and Vulnerability.

The objectives of this session is

To raise awareness in Thurrock of

  1. Understanding the risks in Thurrock in relation to those that may be susceptible to radicalisation
  2. What makes people susceptible to radicalisation
  3. The mechanism in Thurrock to report (reduce barrier of not reporting as do not believe it meets the threshold)
  4. Shared learnings through case study.
